Of course, you can enjoy a variety of coral reefs in the waters of Seribu Islands, precisely east of Tidung Kecil Island pier, Tidung Island. The coral reefs are continuously being maintained and developed in a place called Kebun Terumbu Karang (Coral Reef Garden).
Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-Agency (KPKP) Head, Devi Lidya expressed the Coral Reef Garden had been developed by the Center for Marine Cultivation and Conservation of Jakarta KPKP Agency together with people concerned with the environment since 2009.

The ideal temperature for them is around 20 degrees Celsius. Aside that, one of the conditions for them to live depends on the condition of the oceans which must be free of pollution.
"Coral Reef Garden on Tidung Kecil Island are developed to stock coral nurseries. It aims to rehabilitate coral reef ecosystems in the waters of Seribu Islands," she expressed, Friday (3/10).
According to her, coral reefs are marine ecosystems that have an important role in maintaining shoreline protection and the main support for the sustainability of marine biota in Seribu Islands.
"In fact, they can be interpreted as a place for animal and plant organisms to find food and take shelter," she explained.
They are developed in an area of 2.5 hectares of the waters. The types of them conserved are from Acropora, Montipora, Goniopora, Pocillopora to Oxypora.
But, unfortunately, their beauty cannot be reserved for the public. But only for the benefit of research and development of coral reef ecosystems in Seribu Islands.

expected to become a center for conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems in Seribu Islands," she closed.
